Antonio Acosta

Antonio Acosta (Tony) is a Civil Engineer, president of his own architecture and construction company, CONABESA, founded in 1994, actively inserted in the development of housing infrastructure in the República Dominicana. Tony has a master’s degree in Economics and an associate degree in Construction Management. He is a member of ACOPROVI (Dominican Association of Contractors and Housing Developers), being part of its board of directors for several years.

Tony began his cycling career at age 13 as part of a youth team. Since then he has had an uninterrupted relationship with cycling that has taken him to the world of Master Cycling. He is a member of the Board of Directors of LICIMADI (District Master Cycling League) in Santo Domingo, which runs an annual 8-race championship. Tony is also part of the founding group of TRIPLE 100; an international master cycling event that is already in its 18th edition, with a 3-day race covering 100 km per day.

In addition, it has recently helped form the “Sin Casco y Sin Lentes” foundation that seeks the unification of cyclists from all branches to raise awareness about the benefits of cycling and help communities develop the sport.

Tony has participated in many international cycling events such as:

  • International Master Cycling Week in Mallorca, Spain
  • Great Fund Italy Colnago Miami
  • Great Ocean-Ocean Fund Panama
  • Return to Puerto Rico

After participating in the “Vuelta a PR”, he found the idea of ​​doing the same in his country, Dominican Republic founding Cyclo Tours RD; organization that offers the first and only cycling experience on the island doing 4 tours a year.

In addition to cycling, Tony is passionate about golf which he tries to practice frequently, as well as enjoying quality time with his wife and family of four children.

Edwin De los Santos

Edwin De Los Santos has served since 2014 as President of the AES Dominicana energy group consisting of AES Andrés, Dominican Power Partners, EGE Itabo and current CEO of the AES Dominicana Foundation serving on the board of directors of several business associations such as the American Chamber of Commerce, the Association of the Electric Industry and the Association of Foreign Investment.

He previously held the position of legal vice president of the Dominican AES group and was representative of the Dominican government before international negotiation forums such as the Free Trade Area of ​​the Americas, FTA Panama – República Dominicana, DR Cafta among others. He has a law degree, with a master’s degree in business. Edwin shares the passion for his family with sports such as marathoner, triathlete and cycling. He is also an avid reader and musician with a degree from Berklee College of Music.

Hamlet Montás

Hamlet Montás es licenciado en Administración de Empresas y Master en Marketing con casi 25 años de experiencia laboral en diferentes puestos comerciales dentro de la industria farmacéutica donde ocupó puestos como Gerente de Producto, Gerente de Ventas y Director Comercial en empresas locales y multinacionales tales como Aventis Pharma y Bayer Pharmaceuticals, entre otros.Desde una edad temprana, Hamlet ha sido un entusiasta de los deportes en general, habiendo practicado varias disciplinas como béisbol, baloncesto, tenis y racquetball. Más recientemente, en su vida adulta, está interesado en el atletismo, que le apasiona y lo lleva a completar varios triatlones, medio maratón y un maratón completo (Maratón de Chicago del Bank of America 2012), pero luego sufrió una desafortunada lesión en la rodilla que lo condujo de distancia para completar otros más.

Es entonces cuando Hamlet decide dedicarse exclusivamente al ciclismo, de lo que inmediatamente se enamora y desde entonces se ha convertido en un entusiasta del deporte completando un promedio semanal de 200 millas de entrenamiento, completando más de una docena de Gran Fondos locales y participando en el Gran Fondo Miami 2016 donde logró terminar entre los 5 principales.

Actualmente corre en uno de los equipos de la Liga Master Cycling de la República Dominicana (LICIMADI), completando un arduo calendario anual de competiciones locales de ciclismo.
