Joey Marti

Joey Marti is an entrepreneur, cycling coach, and founder of CircuitCycling and Joey Cycling, organizations dedicated to the development of cycling training, events, and athlete performance programs in the Dominican Republic and internationally. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, an MBA, and a Master’s degree in Data Science and Business Analytics, combining business strategy, technology, and sports performance to create innovative initiatives within the cycling community.

Joey began his cycling journey at the age of 21, and over the past eight years has competed in both Elite and Master categories, building a strong connection with the sport through competition and community development. Throughout his career he has participated in major international and regional events such as the Vuelta Independencia Nacional (Dominican Republic), Tour por la Paz (Guatemala), and the GFNY World Championship in New York City.

Since 2019, Joey has also dedicated himself to coaching and athlete development. He holds certifications from TrainingPeaks University, the American College of Sports Medicine, and USA Cycling (Level 3 Coach). Through his coaching programs he has worked with more than 150 athletes, helping riders of different levels improve their performance, achieve competitive goals, and develop a sustainable approach to endurance sports.

In addition to coaching, Joey has played a key role in organizing and promoting cycling events in the Dominican Republic since 2022. Through his organizations he has created and managed several initiatives that bring together cyclists from across the region, including GF Bayahibe, GFJCA Las Terrenas, the CircuitCycling Challenge, and the CircuitCycling HI Ride League, all aimed at growing the sport and strengthening the cycling community.

Together with his team at Joey Cycling, Joey is responsible for organizing GFNY República Dominicana, as well as developing additional cycling events and experiences that continue to expand the reach of the sport in the country. Their vision is to position the Dominican Republic as a premier destination for international cycling, combining world-class racing with the island’s unique landscapes, culture, and hospitality.

Through GFNY República Dominicana and his other initiatives, Joey seeks to elevate cycling in the country while promoting sports tourism, inviting cyclists from around the world to experience the incredible riding conditions and vibrant cycling culture that the Dominican Republic has to offer.

Beyond competition and event organization, Joey is passionate about exploring scenic routes, discovering new places, and connecting with people from different parts of the world through cycling.
